Japan has been one of the most sought after destinations in the last year and why not. It has so many things to offer. Culture, amazing food, nature, Skiing. It has something for everyone in the family, whatever their preferences or age. We designed this one for some of our customers and it is a 14 night trip that works for those on their 1st time to Japan and those returning who might not have longer to explore further afield. Have you got another week you can take off. Why not continue on past Osaka to Hiroshima or Fukuoka? There are plenty of off the beaten track areas within Japan, but as with all destinations, it comes down to what you the traveller what to see and do. We work closely with you to understand those requirements and make it happen.

For under $10,000 with great hotels, everything you need to either learn or master your ski technique, this is a great winter holiday.

Day 1

Departure Flight

Flying with Qantas will offer a short connection via Tokyo on the way over and a direct flight on the way home. There are several options to choose from if you prefer another airline or want to discuss stopover options in another country!

Day 1-3

Osaka, Japan

Osaka, often referred to as the “Nation’s Kitchen,” is a city that stands out for its unique blend of tradition and modernity. Nestled in the Kansai region and located on the island of Honshu, Osaka offers a mesmerizing journey through time, culture, and culinary delights. Be sure to dive into the flavours of Dotonbori’s street eats, this spot is a feast for your taste buds. Step back in time with a stop at Osaka Castle, an inspiring fortress with panoramic views of the city from the top. We highly suggest while in Osaka, to embrace the simplicity of the traditional tea houses in Uji a cultural experience you can only find in Japan. Osaka promises a memorable and multifaceted adventure that lingers long after you’ve left its charismatic streets.

Day 3-6

Kyoto, Japan

Embark on a journey to Kyoto, a city that truly feels like stepping into a living painting where ancient traditions and modern allure dance together.

One of Kyoto’s defining features is its preservation of historical landmarks. The city served as Japan’s imperial capital for over a thousand years, and remnants of this imperial era are scattered throughout the city. Kyoto’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the iconic Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), Ginkaku-ji (the Silver Pavilion), and the mesmerising Fushimi Inari Shrine, beckon travelers with their exquisite architecture and serene settings.

While your in Kyoto make sure to get lost in the beauty of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and make your way to the historic streets of Gion, home to geishas and traditional tea houses.

Kyoto truly captures the soul of Japan in a way that’s as poetic as it is profound.

 

Day 6-11

Hakuba, Japan

Nestled within the Japanese Alps, Hakuba is a captivating winter wonderland that beckons adventure seekers from around the globe. Day 11-14

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo, Japan’s bustling capital, is a city where the past and future harmonize, creating a captivating blend of modernity and tradition that enchants visitors from around the world.

The food scene in Tokyo is a culinary adventure in itself, with an abundance of Michelin-starred restaurants, cosy izakayas (pubs), and bustling street markets. Don’t miss the chance to savour sushi at the world-famous Tsukiji Fish Market or indulge in the savory delights of Japanese ramen.

It is a place where tradition and innovation intermingle, offering a unique and unforgettable travel experience for anyone who ventures into its dynamic and ever-evolving embrace.

Day 14-15

Flight home

Departing from Tokyo, we head home on a direct flight with Qantas after an extraordinary trip.
