Arrive into port at Palma de Mallorca, Spain! Secret coves, picturesque hilltop villages, and majestic limestone mountains render Mallorca an irresistible destination in the Mediterranean. Palma de Mallorca, or simply Palma, emerged from a turbulent history — alternating between Roman, Byzantine, and Moorish rule — to flourish into a tranquil haven. Today, Palma attracts expatriates and entrepreneurs, embracing the vibrant Spanish lifestyle with the highest standard of living in Spain.

Palma’s labyrinthine streets lead you to Gothic churches and picturesque squares. The city’s central cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (known as La Seu), is an iconic landmark not to be missed. Along the main thoroughfare, you’ll discover charming side streets adorned with shops and art galleries, while the nearby former fishing village of Santa Catalina has evolved into the city’s gastronomic hub, boasting trendy bars and delightful cafes. For panoramic views of Palma, head to Bellver Castle, one of Europe’s few circular castles, or enjoy the vista from one of the city’s many rooftop bars.

Ibiza, Spain

Welcome to Ibiza, Spain! With its iconic nightclubs and star-studded DJ sets, Ibiza has rightfully earned its title as the party capital of the world. However, the island’s true character reveals itself in its laid-back beach culture and tranquil seaside streets, which may come as a surprise. Ibiza’s blend of laid-back luxury allows you to seek refuge from the nightlife or dance until the break of dawn.

Day 10

Ajaccio, Corsica, France

Situated just seven miles from the Italian island of Sardinia, Corsica is a fusion of French and Italian cultures. While the locals identify more with Italian heritage, they embrace French traditions such as boulangeries and charcuteries. The capital port city, Ajaccio, nestled on the western side of this natural paradise, boasts breathtaking peaks and expansive beaches.

Ajaccio’s narrow streets are steeped in Napoleonic history, with notable sites like Maison Bonaparte, the ancestral home of the infamous commander. In the mountainous countryside, vineyards, extensive hiking trails, and wild boar (which often ends up in the charcuterie) await discovery. The Ajaccio Market showcases an array of fresh produce including honey, organic wine, and aromatherapy oils sourced from the surrounding hills. Serving as a gateway to Corsica’s picturesque beaches and the hidden treasures of the Mediterranean mountains, Ajaccio invites exploration of its forests, canyons, and secluded coves.

Day 11-12

La Spezia, Italy

La Spezia might not immediately spring to mind when you think of Italy, but its strategic location near some of the country’s most renowned destinations, such as Positano, Pisa, and Florence, makes it the ideal starting point for your Italian adventure.

Situated roughly halfway between Genoa and Pisa, you can easily hop on a train, boat, or taxi to explore many of Italy’s iconic cities, villages, and islets on day trips. From the picturesque Cinque Terre, with its five colourful coastal villages, to immersing yourself in Liguria’s famed countryside of sprawling orchards and vineyards, or embarking on a scenic journey over the Tuscan hills to Florence, the Renaissance capital of the world, the options are endless.

While there are countless shore excursions to venture on from La Spezia, the city itself boasts attractions like a stunning waterfront naval museum (perfect for a full day of exploration), a hilltop fortress, a nearby fishing islet, and an array of traditional Italian eateries to indulge in if you prefer to stay close to the ship.
