Itinerary

Day 1

An Anchorage Adventure

Your Alaska holiday package adventure begins with an overnight stay in Anchorage, a city famous for its assortment of restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Spend your first day in Alaska immersing in the local culture as you visit famous locations like the Anchorage Museum, the Alaska Native Heritage Centre, and the Denali National Park.

Day 2

A Drive Through the Stunning Scenery

After enjoying a delicious breakfast in Anchorage, the day begins with a scenic drive to Seward. As you journey to your destination, you will get to enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful backcountry scenery. Once you reach Seward, you will board the MS Roald Amundsen, with this spacious and comfortable ship being your home for the duration of your Alaska package deal.

Day 3

Glittering Glaciers

The third day’s destination is College Fjord, which is home to five tidewater glaciers and five valley glaciers. It also features dozens of other types of glaciers. Taking small expedition boats into the fjord, you will get as close to the glaciers as you safely can. The fjord is also home to humpback whales, bald eagles, otters, and sea lions, which are visible from the boats.

Day 4

Icy Bay Glaciers

After visiting College Fjord, you will spend the next day exploring Icy Bay, which is also home to stunning glaciers and beautiful wildlife. If the conditions allow, you will explore the area by small boats or kayaks, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this frozen landscape.

Day 5

A Visit to William Henry Bay

Next on your Alaska tour package, you will visit William Henry Bay, which is home to brown bears, black bears, and moose. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will get to explore the shores lined with old-growth forest. The journey to William Henry Bay will take us through Point Adolphus, whose rich waters are famous for being home to humpback whales and other marine life.

Day 6

Explore the Local Culture in Haines

Haines used to be home to the Chilkat Tlingit people, who were famed for their weaving skills. You’ll spend the day getting to know this local culture, while also exploring Haines’ famous art scene. Along with seeing a showcase of the area’s best art pieces, you will also be given the opportunity to take some pieces home with you to help support local creators.

Day 7

Seeing the Lesser-Known Gems of Holkham Bay

As the home to two beautiful fjords, Holkham Bay is the perfect next destination for our Alaska holiday package. Whether you visit Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm will depend on which offers better exploration on the day as decided by your Captain. You will be treated to a stunning backdrop full of rocky cliffs and fresh icebergs, while the area is also home to harbour seals, whales, and bears.

Day 8

Immersing in the Blended Cultures of Sitka

Home to various cultures, Sitka is the perfect spot for those looking to immerse themselves in a way of life far different than their own. You will get the opportunity to visit enchanting locations such as the Sitka National Historical Park and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, while also enjoying a walk through the forest to the ocean.

Day 9

Discover Southeast Alaska’s Magical Waterways

The ninth day is spent on the water as we take small expedition boats and explore isolated coves, iceberg-filled bays, and shorelines covered in dense forests. While exploring these beautiful sights, you will be treated to plenty of photo opportunities to take snaps of the local bald eagles, pigeon guillemots, otters, whales, and bears.

Day 10

Get Up Close to Ancient Rock Carvings

Our Alaska package deal continues with a cruise toward Wrangell, which is famous for its ancient rock carvings. At the local museum you will learn more about the area’s fascinating past before you cross over to Shakes Island. Littered with totem poles, you will get to explore this island’s hiking trails while learning about the Tlingit people who used to live there.

Day 11

Explore the Beautiful Misty Fjords

If the weather on your Alaska tour package permits, you will join the expedition team to tour the Misty Fjords and get up close to its unspoiled wilderness of evergreens, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. While the land is home to mountain goats, bears, and moose, the sea features Pacific salmon, otters, sea lions, harbour seals, orcas, and Dall’s porpoises.

Day 12

Sail Canada’s Inside Passage

As you sail through the Inside Passage coastal route you will be taken through the awe-inspiring North American Pacific Fjordland, which is a protected stretch of water over 930 miles long. You will get to explore lesser-travelled channels and will want to have your camera ready as you pass dolphins, porpoises, orcas, and humpback whales.

Day 13

Enjoy a Calm Stay in Alert Bay

Alert Bay is a scenic village located on Cormorant Island. As you arrive, you will have the chance to meet and learn from the local Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations community. You will also visit the U’Mista Cultural Centre, where you will see elaborate totem poles, paintings, carvings, ceremonial masks, and other treasured artifacts crafted by the local people.

Day 14

End Your British Columbia and Alaska Tour Package in Vancouver

Your cruise ends in the famous city of Vancouver, where you get to explore the local neighbourhoods and storefronts. Spend your last day exploring famous locations like Stanley Park and Granville Street, before ending the night with a delicious meal at Chinatown, Punjabi Market, or Little Italy.
