Day 1
Flight – Air Canada
We choose Air Canada for this itinerary which will allow for a seamless direct flight into Canada and also a direct flight onwards to Reykjavik after you have spent some time in Montreal. Air Canada will also make the connection home from Boston an easy one – allowing all flights on the same ticket.
Day 1-4
Montreal, Canada
Welcome to Montreal, we will spend 3 nights here before continuing onward to Reykjavik. Montreal is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city that offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable trip. Reykjavík, Iceland
Board your ship and make yourself comfortable in your stateroom. Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital, exudes the essence of a charming fishing village. This island nation, the size of Kentucky, stands as Europe’s westernmost country, offering rugged and untamed landscapes. Day 6
Heimaey, Iceland
Our next stop, Heimaey, stands as the solitary inhabited island in the Westman Islands. Its striking scenery showcases volcanic landscapes, moss-draped cliffs, and charming homes crowned with vibrant rooftops. Remarkable natural landmarks emerged after the 1973 volcanic eruption, which forced the evacuation of its entire 5,000-strong population to the mainland.
During summers, millions of puffins flock here, joined by numerous migratory species that arrive for feeding and breeding. Ongoing initiatives focus on safeguarding the diverse wildlife, from the beloved puffins to the magnificent marine creatures that grace these shores.
Day 7
Djúpivogur, Iceland
Djúpivogur, situated on Iceland’s eastern coastline, has served as a hub for trade since the 16th century. The town is overseen by the majestic Búlandstindur, a mountain steeped in local legend for granting wishes during the summer solstice. Within the town, various cultural attractions await exploration, such as The Tank and the Eggs of Merry Bay.
Residents here prefer a more leisurely way of life. Embracing a slower pace, Djúpivogur has adopted the “Cittaslow” cultural movement, focusing on fostering sustainable living and enhancing the well-being of its inhabitants.

Seydisfjördur, Iceland

We’re thrilled to introduce our upcoming stop, Akureyri! Known as the “Capital of the North,” Akureyri is nestled at the edge of Eyjafjördur and boasts a moderate climate, a rarity for a northern city located merely 62 miles from the Arctic Circle. The city is steeped in folk culture, notably known for the creation of the Vefarinn dance, a celebration of the harvest. Akureyri takes pride in several attractions, including the expansive Public Park and Botanic Garden flourishing with around 2,000 plant species. Our last stop will take you on a 3.5hr train journey from New York to Boston where you will spend your final three nights on this incredible itinerary. Boston is one of America’s oldest and most historic cities, boasting colonial-style architecture and Victorian brownstone buildings that line Beacon Hill. Boston is also renowned as the birthplace of the American Revolution; you’ll find reminders of this turbulent era everywhere from Freedom Trail (spanning 16 significant sites) to taking in a Red Sox game – you will become immersed in its vibrant story!

Flights home
Departing from Boston, we head through Canada and make our way home to Australia.
